Title: Mini Shopaholic
Author: Sophie Kinsella
Publisher: The Dial press
Becky is Back! Now she has a two year old daughter and shopping is more difficult then ever. Every time Minnie sees something that interest her, she yells Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine! Life is hard when you toddler is becoming a shopaholic too. Luke and Becky don’t know what to do with her and Luke thinks he knows a solution. But he didn’t ask the opinion of Becky…
Becky wants to organize a surprise party for Luke’s birthday, but now there’s a financial crises and she promised Luke not to shop. She thinks she can handle it all on her own, but it seems to end in a catastrophe! Luckily, there comes help from a person of who she never expected it!
I really liked the story, but I was surprised there was less about the shopping then usual. In fact most of the story was about organizing the party and I actually found it too much. I wanted more about Minnie, the little kid of Becky. But something the author can be proud of is that you immediately recognise the character of Becky. She has her own way of acting and she’s so funny!
As I have to say which chick lit author I like most, I think I should choose Sophie Kinsella. There are those funny and romantic parts and the big problems of course!
Mini shopaholic isn’t a story you won’t quickly forget!
I’m rating it 4/5 stars!
P.S. This book is also available in Dutch. The title is Mini Shopaholic.
